Jason Beale of the Abbott’s Mill Nature Center, Delaware Nature Society, will be guest speaker at our March 5th meeting. Jason will talk about the history of the American Chestnut tree in North America, from pre-colonization through the blight, and into present day. He will discuss the efforts The American Chestnut Foundation is making in restoring the Chestnut to a working part of the eastern forest.
