Our May meeting will be Saturday, May 6th, at 2 PM. We are very excited to have Stewart Furini demonstrating all the way from the UK!
Stewart will be demonstrating how he turns a platter or shallow bowl and will show a range of coloring and texturing ideas you can use to enhance your turning. You can find examples of his work and style on his YouTube channel and his website.
Color and texture are important features of Stewart’s work, and he enjoys sharing this enthusiasm with others and encouraging you to experiment and have a go. He will cover design, cutting techniques, finishing techniques, and a number of coloring methods, including use of an airbrush alongside simpler methods of applying color. He hopes you’ll be inspired to try some of these ideas out for yourself!
(Also, Stewart says a recording of the demo will be available for at least 30 days.)
